Help Survivors
Donate to our Survivor Assistance Fund.
The Coalition, through the leadership of our Survivor Consultant Gina Cavallo, has created a dedicated Survivor Assistance Fund to help survivors on their journeys to becoming thrivers. If car trouble, a rent shortfall, or other emergency arises that might derail a survivor on that journey, one-time assistance may be available.
Examples of the help the Survivor Assistance Fund has given recently includes emergency transportation, a few days of emergency housing, help paying for medication, and emergency food relief. We hope you will consider making a contribution.
*Your donation is fully tax deductible. Please note “NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking” with ID 81-4523578 on your tax statement. Donations over $250 will receive a formal letter with tax receipt.
Contribute to our Gift Card Drive.
Each winter, we collect gift cards to provide survivors with warm clothing, a hot meal or drink, and other essential needs to help weather the cold season. Gift cards to stores like Target, Walmart, and quick service restaurants like Burger King and Starbucks are all greatly appreciated. For more information, contact us at info@safernj.org or call (201) 903-2111.
Contact our Survivor Consultancy.
Gina Cavallo is the Survivor Consultant for the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking and founder of the Paying It Forward Foundation. In 2018, Gina first shared publicly that she is a survivor of human trafficking. Since then, she has been working with the Coalition to engage legislators and testify before the New Jersey State House in support of changing public policy to better address trafficking and exploitation.
